Didn't even get this lens. I have one that didn't even have the same markings and didn't feel safe in front of the camera and made it very unstable. Was so excited to receive and use it and was disappointed only the return was easy

I love this lens! I had no problem turning off my Nikon Cool Pix P 900 with this lens. I have a 67mm protection lens between this lens on my original camera lens and maybe that's enough to turn the camera off without this lens interfering. switched off with it. I also use a sun filter over it to take photos of the sun. Also, I use it for moon stars, planets, etc. I love it and recommend it.

Wow, a wide angle lens for the P900! Ingeniously making this the most versatile zoom camera in the world! Not only is it wide-angle, but it's also sharp as a bell without turning off the autofocus, which I found difficult with the Nikon micro adjustment. The Vivitar also has another set of fixed micro lenses to capture shots this lens can't. Also bought for more versatility. I love that Nikon allowed these attachments to be used on their camera. Big fan!

I received the lens and decided to return it the same day. At 24mm, the lens leaves rounded corners. I had to zoom in so much that the shots taken with the wide-angle lens had less landscape than the actual 24mm camera lens. This defies the purpose of this lens, which was to show as much landscape as possible. If you have a P900 you will need a much wider lens than the 82mm lens. I'm giving this two stars because the macro lens worked pretty well. That might be fine for some cameras, but not…

I have a Nikon COOLPIX P900 and I took it to take wider shots. The lens has an excellent 2-in-1 macro and wide-angle capability that can be used by screwing it in half. The macro works well and the wide angle is good for medium to short shots. Only gave this 3 stars because P900 owners should be aware of a few things that aren't in the description.
