This is already the sixth shade of Regolith that we have bought! We have little birds sitting on our lamps, pecking, pooping, playing games and so on. All the wonderful things little birds do. These shades are so cheap but beautiful that we just switch them out when they get dusty or little birds peck holes in them, whichever comes first!

I noticed that some people in the reviews mention that the wire punched holes in the side of the lantern during installation. If you are setting this up yourself, you can gently hold the bottom of the wire with your foot while you push the top of the wire into place. Immediately took shape and connected to my pendant light in less than a minute. Arrived in a large Revain box with Ikea packaging.

I really like it but I gave it 4 stars because, like any paper lantern, when you insert the wire there is a chance you will poke a hole damn high on paper. This has happened to me, but the holes are small enough that luckily you can't see them. This lampshade is a nice size. I used an amber bulb for soft light, but I think I'll get a Philips tint bulb for that so I can pop whatever color I want depending on my mood. I first bought a lantern and was pleasantly surprised by the lovely soft light it gave off. Even with one light it was enough for reading when I hung it in the corner above my bed. I liked it so much that I bought another one to hang in the other corner of the room. I don't want bright lights in my bedroom and these lights are perfect. They're a bit delicate in the shadows due to the materials, but I really like the effect they create.
