Ease of use: tools and equipment

Very easy to use product for checking the vacuum on a Quadrejet carburettor. Once connected, I received feedback almost immediately, allowing me to verify that the fuel mixture settings were correct. The pressure gauge is equipped with numerous ports, which allows it to be used in a variety of applications, which is very convenient. The tube itself could have been longer and the ends weren't trimmed properly, it seemed like this part of the packaging had been neglected in the design.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Miscellaneous Miscellaneous

Fuel pump and vacuum tester 8milelake.

This is the second time I've received the dial gauge not being zeroed. I returned the first, and on the second I zeroed the arrow with a calibration screw. Attached photos. Otherwise the sensor and accessories are as advertised and offer good value for money.1. The illustration shows the needle not zeroed.2. Remove the rubber shock absorber.3. Rotate and remove the transparent frame.4. Zero with the calibration screw.5. The display pressure gauge is set to zero.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Clarity

Judging by the photos, the case is damaged, the pressure gauge does not read zero, there is no brass cone attachment. There is a new item label on the case placed over the original new item label which leads me to believe someone else may have gotten it before me. As usual, Revane is more than willing to make things right. Maybe it's just me, but that seems to be the norm lately. I think the new saying should be "We do it right because we do it twice." Now I'm still a few days late waiting forโ€ฆ

Pros
  • The best in its niche
Cons
  • There is nothing here

Great vacuum gauge for the price

Right out of the box this gauge read slightly above zero. This is easily adjusted by removing the rubber guard and adjusting the calibration screw just below the needle. The gauge goes down to about 28 inches of mercury vacuum and then 10 psi pressure so that should be plenty for any automotive needs I have. The dial measures 3.5 inches, making it easy to read inside the vehicle you're testing. The arrow reacts quickly to any fluctuations. So far, after a few months of use, this sensorโ€ฆ

So much guesswork saved

Worked great, ordered Saturday, received Memorial Day Monday, busted the fuel filter on my 94 Chevy 1500 5.7 liter 350 and screwed the adapter into the back of the filter, then screwed the barbed hose adapter into the back of the brass adapter and twisted the key to get the pump working and the boom is only 4.5psi and the manual says 9-12psi, replaced the fuel pump and the trucks run like new. This pressure gauge has made life easier when troubleshooting a truck when it starts hard and getsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Broke on first use in diagnostic, test and gauge tools

I bought this to measure manifold vacuum on my vintage car and to tune Weber triple carburetors. As I suspected prior to purchase, my vacuum pressure went from positive to negative all over the map, causing the gauge needle to swing back and forth far and fast. Unfortunately, the oscillating needle began to rotate until the needle unscrewed from the center shaft. This part was unexpected. I screwed the needle back in, but soon it came out again. It's a shame, because otherwise I really likedโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Very handy mud reader

The best gauge I have found to determine how bad your engine is. Seriously this is a great vacuum gauge for this price range, extremely clear readings and gauges for almost any engine. The sensor seems to be made of high quality materials, very durable and I think it will last a long time. There is a vacuum area on the face of the gauge which shows where the engine is considered good due to problems and explanation of what could be causing the vacuum problem in that area. There is also a cheatโ€ฆ

Works well, good value for money.

I have not used this for vacuum testing. I used it to check the fuel pump delivery pressure. Note that the instructions state that it cannot be used to check fuel pressure on systems with an electric fuel pump, only on systems with a mechanical fuel pump. This gauge has a 1/4" barbed hose connector that is permanently attached to the gauge. Some photos show what appears to be a threaded/interchangeable fitting, but the gauge I received was not designed that way. 4" resulted in having to visitโ€ฆ

  • Absolute legend
