Approved for use in homes with aluminum wiring

This is excellent value if you have aluminum wiring in your existing home. They are easy to use and approved by insurance companies.

Pros
  • Ideal for small homes
Cons
  • Large and bulky

This is the only wire connector I would trust when using aluminum wires in high current (20A) circuits. At over three dollars apiece, they're quite expensive. You also need a torque screwdriver to install them ($50 or more), which is an additional cost. Don't use them if you don't have them. Care must be taken when working with aluminum wire and the work must be carried out correctly. (The hell with the expenses.)

Pros
  • Great value for money

I love these electrical connectors

I moved into a house with aluminum wiring and couldn't afford to rewire the house. Everyone said it was safe but I unplugged it to paint and it blew out. I found out about it and ordered them for all the outlets and fittings. They're expensive, but cheaper than replacing your house and everything in it. This is my first home and I have bought and am exchanging a Husky torque screwdriver. Be careful with hot wires, especially as they are very fragile and can snap out of the alucon if you tamper…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
