my old MSD died so I went in search of that.

my old MSD died so I looked for a new one, asked all my friends and street racers and a few suggested this one, ordered it and had it delivered about a month ago. Since then I have driven and raced a truck with no problems, I keep the engine running at 6500 rpm while racing. Can't talk long, it may go on, but I checked the spark plugs a few days ago and the hot coil is going out a lot of fire

For the price this is a good choice.

I bought this to replace the original scoring manifold on my 500,000 mile 69 C-10. This 350 is _tired_ and this update has woken it up a bit and made maintenance easier too. It went in with no problems and immediately caught fire after a few electrical modifications on the truck (no problem with the distributor). I'm not sure I'd try to rely on it for high rpm or power applications, but it may be due to my own "you get what you pay for" mentality.

excellent packaging

Excellent quality. Obviously new. I read some reviews and some said the product was damaged. I don't understand how this is possible. The dispenser came in a molded styrofoam container. I put the old one in a box and banged it on the floor many times and it always looked good. I saw a photo where the red cover was cracked. I had to assume shipping damage as the crack was right where a wrench could go into the hold down screw. (that's what you suspect). Happy with my purchase and highly…

will not last; no rest - you will always be surprised when you are stranded.

Glad others got a good device. Thought I did the same, seemed to be of good quality and more importantly went in and fired immediately. Plug and Play, R to R. Been around 3 weeks (maybe 50 miles on distribution). I took my granddaughter to buy some dinner last night and she just passed away. Subsequent testing of this AM showed 12 volts applied to the block but no spark. Came back home, grabbed my old stock HEI that replaced this distro and started swapping out components. A bad coil, of…

Reasonable price, but not a cheap product.

I was very surprised by the quality of this dispenser. These days, you can only expect so much when you buy a cheap item. In this case it turned out to be a good investment. Running my c10 with the 305 engine I felt the difference. This distributor gave me more power to the wheels and I'm pretty sure my old distributor wasn't putting out the voltage it needed to provide enough spark. This is definitely an update to my old one. Hope it holds up so far so good. Mimicking a higher quality…

Waste of time and money

At first I thought everything would work fine. In just a few hours with the new engine, a few problems arose. 1: It seemed to work fine at full throttle, but misfired at light load (downhill). 2: Shortly after installation, there was a delay when you removed the key to turn off the engine. It worked for 5 seconds after you removed the key. So after about 2 months of troubleshooting, changing spark plugs, checking wires, rewiring electrical wires, thinking something else was causing the delay…

Failure in less than 100 operating hours

I installed this on a small block Chevy truck. The 36 year old OEM distributor was worn out and leaking oil into the rotor area. It worked fine, although I think the vacuum feed or weights were wrong. At 4* base time, this pings the engine. I actually had to set the base time to less than 0* to keep it from pinging under heavy load. Otherwise it worked for a good 100 working hours (with the operating hours counter on the truck) and then left me lying around. The truck accidentally stopped about
