Read it! - Spare parts

Well, on the right side there is no recess for the clamp that is connected to the air filter housing. The description says it is compatible with my car (2007 Honda Accord 2.4L) but the right side seems about half an inch shorter (again the side that should have room for the clamp). I personally don't see this as working for any model as it doesn't have room for a clip. You can't attach any more clamps! I mean, of course you could tweak it, but why not find a suitable replacement.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

DIY repair. for parts

Local company Kwik Lube found a hole in my air intake hose and then offered me $120 for the part and $65 for the assembly labor. I said thanks, then went home, ordered this part (for less than $15) and installed it myself two days later. It took me 20 minutes to remove the old one and replace it with a new one that fitted perfectly. It still pisses me off that there are people who try to take advantage of others and/or think others are stupid. $185 vs $15 and part of my time. I'm glad I foundโ€ฆ

Excellent aftermarket replacement

Excellent fit, easy installation. A hose clamp had to be added on one side as the original OEM reusable plastic clamp did not fit securely. There was an additional hole at the front of the tube. The original had the same sculpted cutouts, albeit not fully pierced. Must be for different applications and/or vehicles. No problem. Simply insert a screw from the outside to block the hole. No, the bolt cannot be sucked in because the hex has a greater pitch than the hole. Good aftermarket replacement

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Fits as expected and has worked great so far.

This hose is a perfect fit for the original hose that I replaced in my 2005 Accord. It fit perfectly and was easy to assemble. I just wanted to know that it doesn't include the spring and clamps needed on either end. I had to take them out of the original hose and put them on this new hose. Performance wise, I installed this hose about 2 weeks ago and haven't had any issues so far. I would recommend this product as an OEM replacement. Another comment I would like to make is replacing this partโ€ฆ

This will not fit my 2006 Accord LX

I don't know which Honda this will work on but this part was almost 2 inches shorter and did not fit my 2006 Honda Accord LX. Great value when it fits, but it didn't, and it came with an odd metal tension spring. It was short as advertised, but was mostly missing the rubber flange that attaches to the side of the air cleaner. After some research I found the right part and it is 17228-RAD-L61, also available from Revain. The reason for the three stars is that it was delivered quickly, theโ€ฆ

Not OEM but gets the job done

I needed to replace a torn air intake on my 2006 4 cylinder Honda Accord. Decided to call the local parts dealers. They wanted $45 for this piece. I decided to check Amazon and got these boots for about $25 with shipping. As an OEM, that doesn't fit at all. The problem with this part is that you can only use the yoke on the side where it attaches to the throttle body. The end of the hose that goes to the airbox doesn't even have room for a clamp. It gets the job done, but I wish it was closerโ€ฆ

Cheap. but there are disappointments

I have to say straight away that I was looking for a cheaper alternative as I will be parting with this car soon. This product is almost the same, but the end that attaches to the air filter case is different, and the OEM band clip cannot be used. A tension spring was included to secure this end, but I decided to use the ribbon clamp I had on hand. I also noticed that the fit wasn't exactly the same. The duct had to be tightened on one end and twisted slightly to get the other end in placeโ€ฆ
