I was really upset with this product until I went back to Amazon and watched them assemble the unit and then I came to me pretty stupid. The black pointed plastic piece is inserted into the bleed port. Look at the assembled picture of this unit. The hose will not go through the drain plug.

Used this to flush out my old brake fluid. Does the job well. Very inexpensive and must have own tools. Much easier, cheaper and quicker to use than a vacuum tool. Great for bleeding your system, but if you're flushing out all of the old fluid, simply use the tubing provided and point it into an old plastic bottle for volume.

I don't know what happens to bad reviews! It works perfectly. Only a drop of glue holding the magnet kept it from falling off. My only real complaint has to do with the size of the tube. I had to heat and tighten mine with a heat gun because all the tubes are too small. Overall I am very happy with the price and the product! You should add larger tubes as they are all about the same size.

Wanted to bleed the brakes on my 1986 Dodge Van. The hose did not fit into the drain holes. I tried everything I could think of to get to the Bloodletter. Heat, stretching, etc. There are still millions of old cars on the road with old-fashioned big vent holes. For large drain holes, why not include a dime piece of tubing? I don't know the diameter of the fitting itself, but I'll need a 3/8" wrench. Pretty standard, at least on older cars.

Hello everyone, very happy with my purchase. The package contains everything you need to change the brake fluid for your motorcycle. The excess brake fluid reservoir is very small, enough for one motorcycle wheel, and you must throw away the used fluid before you can craft the next wheel. The package contains everything you need. The magnet on the bottle is very handy to attach it firmly to the brake disc on the motorcycle (see photo). Overall I am very happy with this purchase, thank you.

Some problems. First, the description claimed that the bottle had a one-way check valve that allowed brake fluid to flow in one direction. It doesn't exist or doesn't work. Fluid flows in both directions. The check valve must be there to pump a person. Second, the hose that comes with it is too small to fit over the bleed screw. For me and my purposes it was an unnecessary purchase. If you want to flush your brakes, don't waste your money on this product. The container is very small but I knew that from the reviews and I haven't actually used it. I bought it because it was cheap and could be useful. The tubing that came with it was too small for my GM 1500. I ended up finding that a longer piece of the right size clear tubing was much easier to cut into the milk jug.
