Great deal on Scotchlock

Ideal for splicing wires, it is recommended that pliers be used when applying pressure to secure the tab and make the connection.

Pros
  • This is great
Cons
  • Minor issues

They bite well and hold

They bite well and stay closed. Shipping from Absolute USA was also very slow (over 20 days). They are acceptable in all respects though, slow shipping has nothing to do with the performance of these connectors, thanks Bill from WV.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • No

As expected in automotive electronics accessories

Some of these should be checked for extra plastic hangers. Although they snap properly and tightly. I would definitely strip the wires where you want to splice them and not rely on a blade in them to cut the sheath. I used them to successfully wire up a line out converter on my factory jeep radio.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Security

Good quality and good value

Nothing else to say. These aren't genuine "3M Scotchlok" units, but they're a lot cheaper and appear to be of relatively good quality. Maybe a bit bigger than the 3M version, but definitely usable. I use them to redo the wiring harness on my road bike which has a lot of vibration and I'm not worried.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Worth the price.

Grips cords well and lids seem to stay in place well. I've even taken a few apart and reused them with no problems. They might not be the heaviest, but for the price you can't get much better and they work. I don't know yet how well they stand up to the outside weather conditions, but I'll find out in time.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • No power

Cheap and no worse than other brands

It's just a metal "plug" that shifts the insulation around the two wires that fit in and a plastic case so I do it do not see the need to buy more expensive ones. I haven't tested the connection with a continuity tester yet, but the connection looks solid. You can fill the cavity with silicone grease which can probably weatherproof it like these wire socket type knobs. .Squeezing with needle nose pliers requires some force. It is designed to be squeezed with regular or slip-joint pliers, which…

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Pay a little more and get better quality Faucet 3m

Found out these are not original 3m but a cheaper fake. The metal protrusions are very weak and often flex rather than penetrate the wires, resulting in no contact or intermittent contact. I had to replace a few wires that weren't pinching or cutting into the wires I was trying to splice. I've been using these types of connectors for years, so the problem isn't how I use them, just that they have weak stems that just bend and won't go into the wire housings. I have installed car alarms in the…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Ease of maintenance

Worth the price.

Bites easily into the cables, the covers are well attached. I've even taken a few apart and reused them with no problems. Pros
  • Auto and automotive electronics
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly
