MELTDOWN - Customers pay attention to amperage selection

Worked great for 6 months until we accidentally forgot to reduce amperage when changing chargers. This is the result of leaving the default 32 amps on the mobile charger. Make sure to always install a maximum of 24 amps in your Tesla!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • So far so good

Not used yet but expected better quality

Not used yet. It looks like it will work like a charm. However, the TT-30 metal contacts on this adapter are bent and not as solid as one would expect for the price. For this price and for the Tesla I expected strong contacts. The charging adapters sold by Tesla are durable, nickel-plated and of very high quality. Just my 2 cents.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Obsolete

Great for Tesla Model 3

My dad has a 30 amp outlet at home. I bought this so I can customize my Tesla mobile charger when I visit. It worked great and I was able to charge 14mph versus 4-5 miles with a standard outlet. This adapter was very durable and I didn't notice any wires with burn marks/burn marks or anything like that. I definitely recommend this product.

Pros
  • practical item
Cons
  • very expensive

Is working. Corner Difficult

Works perfectly when I plug my wife's Model 3 into her father's RV outlet. The only problem is that it doesn't stay connected due to the angle of the adapter and the weight of the Tesla charging cable. Reversing the RV connector may solve the problem (maybe it was installed upside down?). We will eventually. But it works fine charging the car. The adapter is sturdy and small enough to fit in your pocket along with other adapters.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • No

Powered by Tesla charging RV Message

I have a 2017 Tesla S. This TT-30 RV 30A to Tesla Adapter will work. If you're a Tesla owner and have been searching, you've read that not all adapters work in the real world. The only criticism is that the tines appear to be bent. I had to set them up to check the 30 amp outlet at the campsite. I will update this review for durability and reliability in the future. So far my test has worked.

That's good, but it takes a good move.

Rugged construction. I hooked a 14-50 to it and it was very tight which is good but it took a good pull to get them apart again. Luckily, the small side wings provide something to hold on to. The 14-50 is oriented correctly, so most standard rectangular plugs should face away from the TT-30 plug (not towards the wall). This is not guaranteed, but it is a convention. My Camco adapter worked great. Haven't used it for charging yet as I don't have a TT-30 jack handy, but I checked the wiring with…

Works, but install this "30 amp " adapter to charge 24 amps or less.

Must be something to do with the neutral leg connection. Although the price may seem steep, EV charging requires an adapter designed specifically for Tesla to work properly. I recommend that any Tesla going on road trips carry one of these adapters along with a 50 amp adapter and/or cord. While there are tens of thousands of Tesla Super Chargers, hundreds of thousands of RV poles stand in hard-to-reach RV sites. I recently drove 6,000 miles cross country alone and had no problem finding lots of
