Accusplit AE120XL works great most of the time. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and most days it tracks my steps fairly accurately. I've been using one of these for a few months to count my daily steps, both for intentional exercise and to track my activity level for just walking around the house etc. Me wear it on my belt or the top of my pants and have found it to be very accurate when counting steps. It is very easy to use and reliable. I tried a more expensive Omron pedometer that also didn't work and came back to this. I liked it so much that I immediately ordered another one for my wife.
