Simplicity Works!: Training & Fitness

I do a lot of walking as part of my daily exercise routine and wanted to see my progress. This is a simple pedometer. It can be used right out of the box. It requires no programming by the user. It attaches to the waistband of your pants and has a crocodile buckle to clip it to the edge of your pocket in case it comes loose from the waistband of your pants and doesn't get lost. It just measures the number of steps you take and you can set personal goals along the way. It can be reset by…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than others

Works great most of the time

Accusplit AE120XL works great most of the time. I've been using it for about 3 weeks and most days it tracks my steps fairly accurately. There were a few days when it only recorded a few hundred steps and I didn't understand why as I always wore it in the same place. I try to make it a habit to check the readings throughout the day to make sure he's recording steps correctly. Very easy to use. The display is easy to read. The safety lanyard is a nice feature. The lid is very easy to open when…

Most accurate pedometer I've found

I've been using one of these for a few months to count my daily steps, both for intentional exercise and to track my activity level for just walking around the house etc. Me wear it on my belt or the top of my pants and have found it to be very accurate when counting steps. It is very easy to use and reliable. I tried a more expensive Omron pedometer that also didn't work and came back to this. I liked it so much that I immediately ordered another one for my wife. A few things to watch out for:

Pros
  • Certified
Cons
  • Has quirks

Move, sister!

I wore this pedometer to work to keep track of my walking distance. Now that I'm retired, I wear it while doing housework and gardening to see how much I move. So it's kind of a reality check for me to move more. I have the perfect place to walk as my husband has mowed the path around our property and I am not bothered by traffic or dogs except for my dogs who love to walk with me to check on the animals after work can that come in. I find this pedometer to be about as accurate as anything I've

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Incredible piggy bank
