This is a good sensor. I tried the cheaper one first, it was useless and it got me into a wild goose chase, so. Back to ACDelco. The cheaper sensor cost me $250 to finally realize it's a piece of crap. ACDelco came in and saved the day.
Go to the OEM if you can replace a failed high pressure switch post-market. The problem I had was that if I ran the AC fan at low speed for a long time, the evaporator would freeze. The compressor does not turn off automatically to prevent this. In short, this switch solved the problem. Maybe this will help someone. My truck is a '94 Chevy K1500.
People complain that this does not fit their car, you are confusing the sensors. There is a high pressure sensor and a side low pressure sensor. This is the high pressure sensor which is (usually) closer to the compressor. The low pressure sensor you were trying to replace is on the battery/dryer, right?
