Direct OEM replacement. Great product

This replaced a removed solid bolt on my 2008 Chevy Tahoe Z71 5.3 transfer case. Very happy with this find/purchase. Remember that when replacing an old screw, do not overtighten it.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Zero

Just what I need, a bit pricey

$10 a bit much for the plug but a must for my 2000 Yukon transfer case, fill in this ragged general issue be careful not to overtighten or just buy another hex wrench

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Some issues

Nice to have spare parts

Nice to have spare parts. Install a transfer case with RPO code NP8 on our 2002 Suburban. I've rounded up the original, so make sure you don't put your over 20 foot-pounds on. I'm not keen on spending $10 on a bolt, but it's still better than paying for a car.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Some disadvantages

Essential for changing the fluid in the transfer case

Five stars because you need to have them on hand for changing the fluid in the transfer case and they do the job. I learned it the hard way. On the other hand, they shouldn't get five stars because they're so soft you'll need spare parts to replace the strips!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Very expensive

Gave me a purpose

Be sure to get one of these if your fill (or drain) plug is rounded. ***This rating and listing is for the filler plug*** My filler plug has become slightly rounded and aluminum is known for this due to its softer physical properties. Now I can be sure that my filler plug will not have any torque issues from changing my transfer case fluid. Also, as a general tip, use a proper side head, especially for anything aluminum screw related. This. Use hex head for hex bolt and so on. Using multi-tooth

Pros
  • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
  • Compatibility
