🖤 Black Hat Front Disc Brake Rotor 18A1104 by ACDelco Gold Review

Item and packaging arrived in good condition. ACDelco's packaging actually says "Made in China". This "Professional" series is said to be OEM quality, so I'll be updating this review to show how they hold up over time.

There is a 2004 Corolla. Everything fitted correctly but that clearly had quality control issues with drums and hardware. A drum was warped and the hardware wasn't as solid as the OEM so it clicked with every brake. The clicking was due to the hardware not holding the pads properly. I had to go to the AutoZone location to purchase the gear and a drum. This solved the problem. I will never buy again. Spend a little more and shop at AutoZone.

These rotors bolt on in place of my old warped originals. I was a bit skeptical about turning when grinding, but had no problems breaking in. I've only driven about 1200 miles since installing them but they work perfectly. One thing to note is that the rotors are boxed, boxed and coated with preservative. The preservative can stick to the rotor if left on during break-in. I used Brakleen to remove it. I would definitely recommend her.

This is exactly what you would expect when buying an OE item, superb factory quality and fit. It's also worth noting that the braking experience is again the same as it was new, smooth and responsive with minimal effort. I've used many aftermarket rotors in the past and they don't make the brake work the way these OEM rotors do. I would also like to point out that I used regular pads with them. Best of all, I found them here at Revain for less than the aftermarket junk at my local parts store.
