🔧 ACDelco Professional 19313320 PCV Valve: Enhancing Engine Performance and Efficiency Review

Matches exactly the 20 year old PCV it replaced. Definitely lighter than the factory original so they must have thinned the metal. The original is actually made in the USA. New, made in Mexico.

Fits 2002 Chevy Silverado 4.8. This part is very cheap, so I change it every other oil change. My truck has clocked 165,000 miles and burned about 1 liter of oil every 4,000 miles which is not bad in my opinion. Oil is cheap compared to a new engine or truck. I will continue to service it regularly. I heard these engines can run forever.

Fits my Chevy Silverado 99 with a 4.8L engine (like 5.3), this is not an updated version with a non-removable part inside (it rattles when you shake it). I personally didn't care because the truck wasn't burning any oil anyway. If you change yours, be aware that what it's attached to might be plastic and break when flexed (learned the hard way. And costs about $20 from Chevy).

Interestingly, the Revain description says this is a non-genuine part. It is clear that this is an OEM, ACDelco. This is a Pro PCV model part number 12572717 which has been discontinued and is nowhere to be found. This is a ball valve which may not be suitable for your vehicle with high oil consumption. I bought this when I recently noticed a film of oil on the 2002 Avalanche throttle body and valve covers to see why. My 5.3 used oil all the time since it was new. Always serviced at a GM…
