Replacement for 2006 Chevy Impala

Used to repair Check Engine Light code P0449. Used in conjunction with ACDelco 19257603. The wire harness was required as the OEM connector size was different. It's very easy to swap out, you need a 10mm socket to remove the bracket. Located directly behind the fuel filler flap.

  • Nice Packaging

This works for several GM vehicles. It will also.

Fits several GM vehicles. This also replaces the vapor adsorber vent, which has a hard plastic line (which costs $100) attached to it. Just cut the plastic line and install this canister, then connect the plastic line to this canister with a 5/8" rubber hose. Used it in 2006. Colorado and Silverado 2006.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Negative result available

Fits 04-12 Colorado & Canyon

This is the exact vaporizer canister solenoid for my Chevy Colorado. GM execs were really trying to fool customers by adding pipes. Sure, this part says it fits GM's full-size vans and trucks, but it's identical to the Colorado/Canyon. Simply cut off the plastic leading to the hose and pull out the remaining plastic. Heat the tube, install it on the new solenoid and reinstall it. Literally less than 30 minutes. Eliminates that code P0449 for a third of the price.

Incorrect part does not fit 2007 Chevy Uplander

Flush valve does not fit 2007 Chevy Uplander Spark plugs were different. Although I gave you a good rating, I couldn't use this flush valve. If you love doing the right thing, send me the right vent valve and I'll ship this one back to you. The inlet in the plug was too small. If you can be so kind and send me that with the right fork it will be bigger. I will definitely appreciate it, when it arrives I will send it back to you. Thanks for your time. Have a nice day Jeff.

  • Easy install

Great but note the extra wire you may need

This is great for fixing a P0446/P0449 OBD Check engine code on a Chevy. When it failed last time, the repair shop charged me $272, so this along with YouTube to install is very valuable. Caveat: On my 2006 Impala I also needed a jumper cable part number 19257603 to connect the new unit to the car. GM changed the connector type of this part. Revain says the cable isn't needed and doesn't fit in my car, but it's wrong and won't connect without it.

  • Very good value for money

Repair your car inexpensively yourself; Save $100 $$$

Got a bad solenoid code. The mechanic said he could do it "next week" for $500-$600 (right now because he hasn't run a full diagnosis; maybe more). I ordered this part with an electrical adapter for less than $50, crawled under the truck, unscrewed ONE screw and the entire cartridge came out without dropping the spare. The whole thing took less than half an hour and saved hundreds of dollars. After that, the truck drove through the smog without any problems and the Check Engine light went out.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Nothing here

Additional work required for installation

This item is listed in Revain Garage as suitable for a 2007 Cheve Uplander LS 3.9, but when the mechanic proceeded with the installation he discovered that the cable receiver was of a different design than the original and had to replace the connector on the wiring harness to make it fit. At first they thought they would have to remove the gas tank to make room for it, but after a struggle they managed without having to do it, but the cost of replacing the old block with this one was still a…

Electrical connection not identical to OEM

Pros: The canister itself is the correct part number and the P0449 check engine code is gone (Edit: Note that while the code is gone, the original electrical connection 07 Colorado /Canyon will not fit this Solenoid Wiring Harness #19257603 is required for proper installation). I believe AC Delco #214-2324 is used on several different vehicles so be sure to check if you need a replacement belt. Another reviewer posted a photo that should help you. Cons: This part has a slightly shorter neck…
