It wasn't the easiest, but it was worth it

Of course it will take some time and it's important to go slowly, but it worked great. It's a bit awkward to get under the dash, but of course the line you need to cut is right there. They just didn't do it at the factory. Be sure to cut on the right side of the line. The guide was good.

Pros
  • practical thing
Cons
  • there are problems

Perfect Perfect Perfect

If you have a full size GM truck of this generation, don't wait another day. Buy this cover and upgrade. Yes, cutting a hole takes skill and time, but it's well worth the effort. The filters snap easily into place and the cover fits like a factory original part. OFFROAD SAND AND DUST ARE NO LONGER IN YOUR FACE. Why GM didn't install any filters at all is beyond me.

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Wasn't easy to install

I installed this on my 2008 Yukon XL Denali and it fits perfectly. It wasn't easy to install. It took some time to cut out the plastic area that opens the cabin air filter tube. The filter must be bent and inserted into the slot. However, I am glad that the air in the cabin is now filtered. It's strange that the car has a cabin air filter, but they leave it up to the buyer to install it.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Bad for big hands but good project

The product was perfect for my 2006 Chevy 3600. There are two issues with the project. The first thing to do is remove the third screw under the center console. I could only partially pull it out, but my hands are too big to work in space. My wife got it full in the end. I didn't put it back in because of installation issues. The second problem is cutting the hole where the filters go. I ended up using the dremel at a lower speed with a cutting attachment and then finished with a file. It…
