Received this new water pump from Revain today. The impeller on this ACDELCO 252-814 is NOT metal. Although the description above does not specify a metal impeller, the answers to questions and other online descriptions of the ACDELCO 252-814 indicate a metal impeller. There is a shaft and a fastening pulley. The shaft is also NOT keyed to the impeller as shown in this picture and other pictures online. Watch the video, the magnet is attached to the shaft but not the impeller.

Water pump and seal work great. Installed 3 months ago. The parts fit together perfectly and the process was easy once you slipped the water pump over the fender and into the engine bay. Note: I had to use an aluminum baseball bat to allow enough clearance between the engine and fender/frame for the pump. An impossible task for one person. I've done it myself. After installing and starting the car, I noticed that the pulley was out of balance. The water pump has dowel pins on the front for centering the pulley, but they don't appear to have been calibrated.
