OEM decal on filters

Thought AC Delco meant Made in America. This filter is made in China. Not as thick and hard as the OEM Mopar but ok for the money. Seems to fit ok. I'll spend the extra money and go to the OEM next time.

Pros
  • Air filter
Cons
  • Damaged

Expensive but OEM

I believe in using OEM parts whenever possible. Why buy a cheap air filter? It's more expensive than what you can find at your local auto parts store, but it's an OEM. No problem. Installation was agonizing, but that's not because of the air filter, it's because of the automaker. No questions.

I have disposed of my K&N for daily driving

I have used reusable air filters successfully over the years but they tend to filter better with the airflow. I recently installed it in my jeep and in a month my mpg went from 8.8mpg to 7.2mpg. I went back to my trusty Delco AC and my MPG is back to 18.4 within a week - and my airbox is as clean as an aftermarket reusable filter can get, even off-road in the Arizona desert.

  • Filter
Cons
  • Slightly dented
