🌬️ ACDelco GM Original Equipment CF140 Cabin Air Filter: Premium Filtration for Fresh In-car Air Review

All those years without a filter. Mom bought the car new and never had a cabin filter. I looked back years but I needed some kind of framework so I didn't chase it. This filter fits easily. 2 minutes total and has a built in frame. I look forward to better air quality in the 2004 Buick Lesabre.

I just bought a 2005 Buick LeSabre and noticed that it has a hole for access to the cabin air filter. This was a dealer installed option on this car but the original owner never did it. AC Delco CF140 is exactly what you need. The filter contains a plastic frame that slides in and snaps into place. The entire installation took less than two minutes. If at some point the filter needs to be replaced, the Delco CF138 (only) AC filter will put it straight into action.

There are many reviews and several videos on U-tubes that say you have to take it out of the plastic case it comes in in order for it to fit in the car. It's not the case :) especially since the 2003 Lesabre it just slipped right in. I also glued the edge with two holes because there was a small gap and it didn't go all the way. You have to press it really hard and hold for a minute as the filter media doesn't like glue. Let it dry for 48 hours to be on the safe side to prevent superglue smell…

Buick Lucerne CF140 filter is very easy to install. First open the hood. Remove the black plastic panel from the passenger side panel just below the wiper by pressing on the two protruding tabs. Pull out the plastic push pin retainer from the right side of the air cleaner frame (see photo). Press the tab on the left side of the frame and pull the filter up and out.
