🔌 ACDelco PT2145 Professional Alternator Conversion Jumper Harness Review

This is a connector for replacing an old GM 10/12SI alternator with a new higher amperage CS130 alternator. It has a built in resistor to replace the low charge indicator on the dashboard. It connected correctly on both connections (original wiring and new alternator) and the voltage sensor also works.

Works. You need this if you don't have an "idiot" light as it has a built in resistor. Or, even better, you need to put the amplifier tube and the resistor in parallel. This way your alternator will keep charging if your amp's tube goes bad. I replaced the alternator on my 1972 Jeep Commando with a GM CS130. I needed a CS connector and line resistor, but I didn't need a gray connector (this part needed to be wired differently for my setup).

Installed on Corvette 1984 I have used it to upgrade to a CS series alternator and for that it worked great. Ideal "plug and play” installation. Simply measure the resistance in the factory sense line (battery disconnected and ignition on) to see if you need this version or the version without the resistor built in. As a rule of thumb, if you don't have a generator dummy, you need one, but it never hurts to check.
