Overall, this is a great Chromebook. Easy to use right out of the box. But there are a few nasty design flaws. First the left shift key was placed a whole row down because for some reason they found it necessary to place a random "search" button right where the shift key should have been! So if you are an experienced typist, every time you type a capital letter, you press a very destructive search button and the whole search box pops up. I bought this mainly for my kid to do school stuff - perfect as the school also uses Chromebooks I thought so. Since I bought it closer to summer (May 21, 2020) it has only been used a few times. Yesterday (3 Aug 2020) we had to use it and it was dead. Like nothing. The power button doesn't light up, I'm trying to charge, it doesn't light up. NOTHING. Damage to the body, screen, etc. no, so it's not like they were treated rudely. It just won't work. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I really wanted to like it. I bought this one thinking Chrome OS would be similar to Windows. It looks more like a phone or tablet. The system is based on a Google/Gmail account (your password/login is your email and password). It would be great for vacations, but I wanted a work computer. And after activating it, I found that I couldn't install the Microsoft 365 package for Windows on it.
