This is a great stool for accessing high shelves in the garage. 16 inches is quite a lot, so I have a hard time getting up unless I have a shelf or wall to lean against. But since it's foldable, durable, and quite large, it meets many of my family's needs for getting to higher storage areas in the house without having to carry a tall, awkward ladder.

I bought a shorter version of this stool and I liked it so I bought the 16 inch version. I've used it about 3 or 4 times. But I was on a cement porch (hard, flat surface) and SHE CAME COMPLETELY UNDER ME! I felt an edge "soften" and give way. I was lucky that I wasn't seriously injured! As stated in the instructions, I stood firmly with both feet, I'm well under the estimated 400 kilos. (I'm 225) and I was on a safe, hard, flat surface (concrete). THIS PRODUCT IS DANGEROUS. DO NOT BUY!

I love this stool so much I ordered two in my original order and then another. The first two were fine, but a recent order was broken (more of a shipper issue than Akko). Of course, after contacting Revain, a new one was sent. We use them for a large SUV for washing and loading up.
