Not that my old Acorn socks are too tight

I was happy to find Acorn socks at Revain. But when they arrived they were very tight around the ankle and forefoot. The color was black and white but the description said black and cream. I ordered large, although I take women's shoes 10.5. Even then they were too tight. When I ordered them, the advert said free shipping and returns; but if I wanted to return them, ShoeMall shipping cost will be deducted from my refund. I thought I'd buy from Revain.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Something different

NOT the same socks for women

I read other reviews but decided to try them myself. The reviewers were right! The socks are made of a different material; now they're probably some kind of synthetic. And they sit weird. The toes feel a little big and the calf feels a little cramped. I sent them back so I didn't see the stitching unravel after one wash as other reviewers have mentioned. But I'm sad that the quality socks I've loved for years are no longer available. (I liked them because they didn't dent my calves.)

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Without machine

Not as good quality as it used to be :-(

I started buying Acorn fleece socks as gifts 15 years ago! Everyone just loved them and literally wore them on. They used to be they wider than now tall The socks are quite long but very tight and don't stretch like they used to which is very bad - maybe Acorn was bought out or has new management but even with the new amazing colors and designs, the ones you have now when you put them on don't fit well from you are of little use!sorry I tried calling Acorn to ask but was on hold forever!I will…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Only available in white

not what it used to be

They are a far cry from the quality acorns used to have. The heels wear out within a few months compared to the ones I've worn before which have lasted over a year. At first I thought it was just a couple or two that might have a material flaw, but over the past few years it turns out that every couple is. I no longer want to buy them at their price and inferior quality and unfortunately I have no choice until I find a better product to replace them as they are so hard to find in the first…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • thin

Very disappointed with the new much smaller size.

I have half a dozen Acorn socks (unisex/men's L) that will last for many years and I wanted to buy more for myself and as gifts. Unfortunately the sizes have now completely changed as they are made in China. The leg is slightly narrower but the same length and the ankle is so tight that you can't slip a sock over your heel! The top of the sock is also smaller. I have already started my return. I am very disappointed that Acorn is no longer making these classic fleece socks in sizes my family…

Pros
  • 100% Polyester
Cons
  • Low repairability

It used to be good. avoid like the plague today.

It used to be great! But obviously to keep costs down not only have they now become slightly small and literally so tight that new ones have to be the next size up or they will restrict blood flow, I've had 2 of the last 3 pairs I've came apart at poorly sewn seams in only bought a few uses. An obvious quality control issue that should NEVER occur with "premium" socks that cost close to $20 a pair. I will return to other products giving me 3 for the same price and really understand that quality

Pros
  • Lightweight, breathable fleece Wicks moisture away to keep feet dry and warm
Cons
  • Other fun options available.

Let's go down the hill fast!

I've been buying these for a number of years and I still have a few of the first pairs I bought. They have become thinner and less blurred, but still intact. So, in the last year I've bought 4 pairs that had to be sent back because the stitching came undone, sometimes after a wash! Hmmm. I wonder what has changed!? I bet Acorns' profits are up, but the quality is SIGNIFICANTLY down! I'm not even sure why I keep buying them. I think I loved the originals so I hope to my wildest dreams that I can

Pros
  • Machine washable
Cons
  • Not bad but...
