You should be mechanically inclined and know how to shape and grind metal

will do the job The handles will rust a little and if the hood has to be tilted at a large angle of more than 10° you will need to grind the plate to let the post pass, and the column shelf needs to be removed, because this money is not bad either.

will do the job Handles will rust a bit and if the bonnet has to be tilted at a large angle of more than 10°, you will have to sand the top to allow the post to pass and the column shelf will have to be removed, for this money that's not bad either.

Good quality. Wish the panel that bolts to the hood wasn't just glued on

First, I like them. Good build quality. Nice finish and good straps. However, the black plates have a 3m band and do not dangle through the hood. Also, the rivets are chrome plated and the black rivets are only fake and will not match real rivets.

You look good; but too short

I love the look of these bonnet pins. However, my problem is that they are too short and I had to do some extra work to get them working. The pins themselves should be at least 3 inches longer. I had to run to Ace Hardware and buy two 1/2" 13" flare nuts and a piece of the entire thread. After that they started to work.

The pins are rusting! on Scoops & Vents Hood

I installed mine a week ago and they look great! The problem is that the silver pins/rings are already starting to rust! I live in Florida where it's always muggy so I'm sure it matters but it still shouldn't happen, especially so soon. If you buy them I would suggest applying some kind of clear coat before installing them. Very easy installation.
