Great for learning!: Plasticine

This is great for learning how to work with real clay! It's nice when you give someone a piece of jewelry, but the clay is NOT of the same quality as in the kiln, but I was definitely more interested in working with clay.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • Can do damage

works well with Clays & Doughs

I was able to do whatever I wanted with this clay. It looks beautiful and is surprisingly durable in its solid state. It's a bit creaky at first, but I was able to smooth them out easily with some water on my finger. Good business.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Waiting too long

Deceptive colors

I ordered terracotta clay. The packaging also says terracotta, but their clay is charcoal. It would be helpful if the images showed the natural color of the clay to avoid such errors. Too late to reorder as it was for my son's school project.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No machine

Terracotta clay

This clay is easy to work with. I need to repair some Japanese Hakata figures. This clay also had the perfect color. It really suits the skin tone. I painted a little when the clay dried. The remaining clay was wrapped in plastic wrap and then placed in a zipped bag with all air squeezed out. I'll probably give the clay to my 13 year old daughter to play around with as I'm sure the clay will get air in over time.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive
