does the job. Accurate, reliable.

I've used it for beef, pork, chicken and turkey. Works perfectly. For my first half-dozen uses, I tested its accuracy with a handheld digital meat thermometer: accurate. It would be nice if the probe cord was a bit longer, but it's long enough if I don't push the probe too far into the oven. The wireless key is a nice feature and the WiFi works flawlessly. I have had three other meat thermometers in the oven and this is the best so far.

Pros
  • Home and Kitchen
Cons
  • I'm worried about this one

Manufacturer must stock replacement sensors

Used for a few months, family member wrapped cord tightly around sensor for storage and now it no longer works. You can't blame the manufacturer for this, but neither Revain nor Acurite sells a replacement probe. The Acurite website said it would be back in stock earlier this month and now it just says it's out of stock and doesn't expect them to have more. We look forward to a good month. Just say back what you sell!

Pros
  • Kitchen and dining room
Cons
  • No insurance

not a great product, i used it once and a thermometer.

not a very good product, i used it once and the plug of the thermometer was damaged. They said they would supply a replacement part, it was still under warranty, but they didn't quite "answer" my complaint. I've been riding for 3 weeks and they didn't even send the right part. I was hoping to use it before the end of summer. Maybe I can give a better rating when I get a new part as I haven't really had the chance to use it. but beware of a faulty thermometer.

Pros
  • thermometer and timer
Cons
  • you could choose a newer model

The assembly was easy and I was very satisfied.

It was easy to set up and I was very pleased with how it performed in the first 30 minutes of preparing Christmas dinner. Then he started reading Probe Error, he was in the middle of a fillet of beef and he wasn't done yet. I reset the sensor and turned off the thermometer when it didn't reset. Worked for 3-5 minutes and then gave a sensor error. After 4 attempts I gave up. I was a little nervous because I didn't want to ruin the Christmas dinner. Luckily I have a brother in law who is a chef…
