Description of Adafruit Mini Sound Board - WAV/OGG Trigger - 2MB Flash Memory [ADA2342]

No Arduino or other microcontroller required! It is completely stand-alone, just needs a 3 to 5.5VDC battery. Built in storage - yep! you don't even need an SD card, there's 2MB of storage on the board itself. Built in Mass Storage USB - Plug any micro USB cable into the Sound Board and your Windows computer, you can drag and drop your files right on as if it were a USB key. Compressed or Uncompressed audio - Go with compressed Ogg Vorbis files for longer audio files, or uncompressed WAV files. High Quality Sound - You want 44.1KHz 16 bit stereo? Not a problem! The decoding hardware can handle any bit/sample rate and mono or stereo

Great device, even better seller!

Seller was (Chicago Electronic Distributors) AMAZING! They sent me a replacement when the original item I ordered was defective and could not be recognized as a drive in Win10. I give the seller 5*, the product 4. I think their quality control could be improved. However, I'll give 5 stars if the initial defect was caused by me (doubtful, I'm very wary of static-causing components). The exchange worked great! So the product really works. It only took me an hour to solder all the contacts and my…

Nothing for my project, but still good hardware.

I ordered this and misunderstood its capabilities, sent it back. I suppose it's good for cosplay, lightsabers and the like with very short audio clips that can only be played one at a time. HOWEVER - you can change the filenames to make it a one-shot, a loop and a different rendition. For my use, it didn't work for the build I planned, but that doesn't mean it's a bad piece of hardware. On the contrary, Adafruit is a great company with great products. Before you buy, just check out the pinout…

Great board when used with 5VDC

This board is really well designed and very easy to use. I like that you can use it as a flash drive to manage files and you can tell the board how it works by the way the sound files are named. Although it's listed to operate from 3 to 5.5 volts, I recommend using it with a 5 volt power supply. The board I received only intermittently allowed audio to be triggered when powered by a 3.3 volt power supply. With 5 volts I never had a problem with the board. I am using it with a DROK Super Small…
