Mac Mini Late 2012. Update now, not later.

Late 2012 Mac mini - I sat in my desk drawer for 2 years because it was loading everything and everything so slowly. I needed a new computer, and surprisingly, this is it. After reading reviews about how easy it was to upgrade the memory, I gave it a try and it literally took longer to open the package than it did to open a Mac mini and to change the chips. The transition from 4GB to 16GB was IMMEDIATELY noticeable. The webpage took about 7-12 seconds to load. Now about 2-3 seconds. To be…

New life for old Mac Mini

I have an old Mac Mini (Late 2012) that seemed to run fine except it was very slow. The simplest things took forever, and god forbid I had more than one browser tab open. In short, I found it just didn't have enough memory that came with the standard 4 gig. Replace the old memory with these 16GB modules and voila, the problems are gone. Works better than ever, just like buying a new $60 car. Super easy to install, nothing else needs to be done. I wish I had done this many years ago!

  • Pleasant to use

Mac didn't work with both 8gb cards

I installed both cards in my Mac Gf mid 2010 and it wouldn't boot with both 8gb cards just a beep then I went online to get one Finding a solution, and only found that the Mac is limited to 8 gigabytes of memory, and I've tried installing twice that much. So I left an 8GB card with the 2GB card it came with and it booted. It says I have 10 gigs now. I've noticed an improvement as I cycle through the images, but loading times are still a bit slow. Now I only have an extra 8 gig card as a backup.

  • Quality build

Worth the money

I have an old used 2012 MacBook Pro that only had 4GB RAM. I've had mixed opinions as to whether upgrading to 16GB would really hurt performance. Well that's for sure! The machine runs at least twice as fast as before. Applications like Word that took 2 to 3 minutes to start up started in less than 30 seconds. The same with Photoshop. Let's be honest. It's still an old computer. However, the additional storage has made it comparable in speed to a cheap NEW laptop but with the benefit of being a

iMac 27 inch Late 2012. Increased from 16 to 32 GB. It was worth it

I spent days looking for options like an SSD to replace my hard drive or even adding an mSATA SSD. Late 2012 models don't benefit from the latter option at all. Price wise these options were roughly equivalent to 32GB of RAM but my biggest concern was having to remove the screen to upgrade on other routes taking time like download speeds and that Loading applications hasn't changed noticeably, switching between applications, opening many applications, watching videos and browsing, working in…
