Uses an old hard drive ide

I bought a 2002 IDE hard drive. Maxtor 80gb. I don't have a computer for him anymore and he just lay in the warehouse. I wanted to see if it still works, so I got this. To my surprise, it started and worked flawlessly. This adapter was perfect. I even ran a full disk cleanup to make sure everything is fine and working perfectly. It even has a switch to turn it on or off when not in use. I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • Super Speed USB 3.0: USB 3.0 supports transfer rates up to 5 Gbps (actual transfer rate is limited by the setting of the connected device) USB 1.1/2.0 downstream compatible.
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great for computer accessories and peripherals

This is exactly what I needed. I have two boxes of old hard drives and need to test them before taking them to the shooting range for destruction.

Pros
  • Universal SATA/IDE Hard Drive Adapter: Supports 2.5/3.5" SATA hard drives and SSDs; 2.5"/3.5" IDE Hard Drive; DVD-ROM, CD-ROM, CD-RW, DVD-RW, DVD+RW This SATA cable supports 2 x 16TB hard drives, which is an ideal solution for IT data backup and processing, batch processing, formatting, file transfer, etc .
Cons

Great tool for your pocket (see details). Recommended

If you're the type of person who NEEDS an IDE and SATA to USB adapter, chances are you already have one (or more) up in your den somewhere. I know that. The difference with the FIDECO USB 3.0 Universal Hard Drive Adapter Cable is that it is USB 3.2 Gen 1 while my other adapters are USB 2.0. This is important because almost all SATA drives and almost all 40 and 44 pin IDE drives can saturate 40MB/s of USB 2.0 bandwidth. I tried the device on a stack of old hard drives and it worked with all ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pulg & Play: Plug and play and hot-swap support, on/off switch to protect the hard drives. Tips: Some IDE hard drives are obsolete, you need to put a jumper to enable the drive (set master drive and slave drive).
Cons
  • May Damage

Easy connection with LED power indicator.

Easy to connect, love the tiny on/off button and power LED. Directions aren't that helpful, but I was able to connect to my hard drive. I won't use it often but it looks like a good product.

Pros
  • System Compatibility: Support Windows XP/Vista/7/8.1/8/10, Mac OS 10 or above, Linux, etc. Support PS4/Xbox/TV/Surveillance Devices.
Cons
  • Style 90

Very Useful Hard Drive Enclosure

I put some old hard drives in this little tool and it did a great job. I had a stack of old laptop hard drives (both SATA and IDE) that I didn't want to throw away without checking the contents. With this little device I was able to easily connect them all one by one to my desktop and they mounted straight away. I would then use Minitool to remove and clean up the partitions. Then discard. I wish it came with a small carrying case, but I'll just use a shipping box that's a little bigger than Iโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pulg & Play: Plug and Play and hot-swap support, on/off switch to protect hard drives. Tips: Some IDE hard drives are obsolete, you need to put a jumper to enable the drive (set master drive and slave drive).
Cons
