Thanks SATA Cables - Cables and Connections

I was able to use Disk Genius and load onto my hard drive with this connector and store my documents and pictures on a 500GB hard drive that failed. A 67% scan found over 10,400 bad sectors. Since no other desktop was available, I was able to use my laptop with this USB cable and retrieve my data.

The thing shows your hard drive.

My computer shows the hard drive but cannot open any files. The company must provide software, if necessary, to complete the process. I don't know where to find such software, so I'm stuck on a closed USB file.

Works with all SATA drives I've tried so far. 2.5 inch laptop hard drive, 3.5 inch hard drive and 2.5 inch SSD. When using 2.5 HDD/SSD, no need to connect power supply only with USB 3.0 cable, but for 12V hard drive like 3.5 HDD, need to connect power cable with adapter to supply power to hard drive.

Plug and play, baby!

Great product. The self-explanatory design doesn't even require instructions. It is so easy. Just plugged into a SATA drive, connected a power supply and plugged into USB, and voila, I have a portable drive. Tried on Windows 7 and Windows 10. Works fine.
