Working. But if you leave it plugged in before starting the computer, it won't show up on monitors or the laptop's own display. This is a 2020 HP Envy, once you turn it off you have to turn it off. But gosh it's so much better than a $200 dock I don't need 85%.

Should have read the description more closely. That was my fault. It says that it only supports screen mirroring on Mac. He did exactly what he promised. Worked great. Unfortunately, I was looking for one that would extend my desktop to a second monitor.

Having multiple screens is a must these days; especially for work. I bought this because the dock I had at work only supported 1 HDMI and 1 VGA. I personally wanted two HDMI screens for better picture quality; for reading and following charts and graphs. I'm happy with it and glad I bought it. hope that helps.

This is great for my 3 screen setup. I connected this adapter to one of the USB-C ports on my HP Specter x360 running Windows 10. It connects to my ASUS monitor with a regular HDMI cable and also to an older Dell monitor with an HDMI-to-DVI cable. . I can extend my desktop to all 3 screens or just use two external monitors. It can be difficult to set up multiple displays correctly, but this adapter is the easiest part of the process. For me it's plug and play!

For those of you who are using older pre-HDMI monitors or have used DF/HM input cables, this unit will work great. I tried using an HDMI splitter and HM HDMI cable but that didn't work. The part of the HDMI cable is used for power transmission. This circuit is missing from the adapter cables, so the splitter is out of order. Works exactly as I hoped. It took a few minutes to adjust my monitor settings, but once I did it worked just like my dock at work. I use a Dell Latitude 5490 laptop and as soon as I plugged in the USB-C port the monitors came alive. I chose this device over the docking station primarily because of the cost. I didn't really need a full-fledged docking station to work from home, I just wanted my monitors to work like they do in the office. I recommend it to anyone who needs it.
