When I was a kid my mom had one that made jars easy to open. We used it all the time. I was hoping it would be the same, but it's not as durable as my mom's and doesn't work as well. It mostly opens jars, but due to its design, sometimes it just pushes the lid in, making opening the jar even more difficult. I think it's because the tips are sharp as teeth. It's better than nothing, but falls short of my expectations.

This is a good value set containing a pair. That's good because I keep losing a can opener. This opener is better than my old one which uses a tapered tooth design to push on the lid and try to twist it. It has a vice to apply extra pressure to the handle and a long handle to use the lever to open a can or bottle. There aren't many instructions, just a few pictures on the boxes. Came with a rich looking antique key that doubled as a bottle opener. It has some other features but I'm not sure how
