I actually have a Note 4 (mainly because later Notes removed some of the features I regularly use in 4) but this is the best mount I've found. I've found others that work quite well. IF I remove the case the coil is problematic if you are using an Otterbox as you really say. With this mount, it's easy enough to put the phone in, and it's usually done with one hand.

I bought it for a console in our boat. Installed well but there was always a problem with the suction cup. The surface is smooth and finally left with some water to seal the suction. But recently I had to throw it away. The plastic on the suction cup turned into a super sticky substance. It couldn't hold my phone anymore and left a huge ring of sticky plastic residue that had to be removed. Very disappointed

Goods delivered quickly. Everything in one box. I used a windshield suction cup and put my phone in it and it holds up pretty well. Had left the windscreen mount (with suction cup) overnight but the next day it detached from the windscreen but was very easy to put back on. There is a small sticky suction mark on the windshield, but I think it can be removed with Windex. In general it works as advertised.

I wanted my Note 8 to hold on to something while driving directions from place to place and it really works. It's a bit difficult to maintain suction at first, but it holds my phone and therefore rotates to look sideways. When the sun is hot, it gets hot. Otherwise this is the product for you. I didn't want anything sticky on my dash so I read the reviews and decided to buy this and the price is reasonable too. You get what you pay for and it really works for the Note 8.

It wasn't working on my windshield or anywhere else and I kept falling over trying to use my cell phone to get around El Paso and Austin in to move around the city. The ring to use also didn't work and didn't have enough glue to attach it to the windshield. As said, does NOT support Samsung Galixy 8 phone. Don't waste your money if you want it. UPDATE: After I put the extra epoxy plastic washer where I wanted it I absolutely LOVE this holder. That's great. Too bad the included sticky pad didn't work for more than a day or two - useless.
