It's either another OEM or a fake, but it works for the GL502VT. Detailed assessment.

The adapter works, is simple and clear - let's start with that. Interestingly, the adapter was not sealed at the factory, and the ASUS trademark was clearly obscured by an "AC Adapter" sticker. To be honest I can't tell if it was 'used' or not, but it's clear someone physically touched it before it was boxed. This replacement weighs 1.1 ounces less than the original. The $50 price tag isn't great, but I knew the other offerings were undoubtedly Chinese fakes that posed a risk of fire or…

Very similar to the standard OME charger

My partner's charger was hanging by a thread so we invested in this charger after exploring the options. It's hard to find one for this charger without different heads for the part that goes into the computer. We really liked that these are two strong pieces that easily connect and stay together. We've had it for two months and it works great. My partner is not sure if this is really a standard OME charger but it works just like his original so we are very happy with this purchase.

This connector destroyed my laptop

I bought this to have a good replacement connector for my Asus gaming laptop. Plugging into the mains caused a short from the plug to my system and the system would no longer turn on. As mentioned, my original version works fine, now my laptop doesn't work anymore. I'm a certified systems engineer so I'm troubleshooting this system to make sure nothing can be done but to no avail. Now I'm looking for a way for the company to compensate me for my broken laptop that needs to be replaced. It's…

Exact replacement for best laptop accessories

I bought this to replace my original power adapter for my ASUS laptop and the only difference is the adapter doesn't say ASUS. Everything else is identical and this solved my problem. I don't think it's the battery as it charges when I pull the cord. I thought I'd buy it and see if that was the problem, and it was. I would buy again.

Slightly lighter than the original and much more dangerous

used 3 times in total. On the third use, after about four hours, it made a loud crackling sound. The light in the room I was in went out. And my backup power supply, which protects against power surges, turned off the power in the outlet it was plugged into. To be honest, I'm just grateful that I had this safety measure, because otherwise I would have felt like I should have called the fire brigade. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT CAN EXPLODE.
