This delightful coloring book by Mead illustrates the work of popular folk artist Charles Wysotsky (1928-2002). A colorist might relish the opportunity to recreate the amazing craftsmanship of this master, though hoping for a mirror image is pointless. No one captured the radiant beauty of nature and animals like Vysotsky. Viewing his works inevitably brings with it a sense of peace and longing for the days of his glorious simplicity. I have admired the work of Charles Wysotsky for many years. I collected a few prints, bought a lot of calendars and puzzles, and sewed various types of crafts according to his sketches. I was hoping for a coloring book and just found this one (yes I did because it was hidden in the stationery and not in the middle of the coloring book). The book is very well made with high quality paper. The cover shows a partial "finished" colorization of the design that looks more digital than it actually is.
