Too difficult to attach to the rearview mirror

It was a waste of money. I bought it to use when traveling so I can always see my GPS on my phone when I rent a car. Well, it was impossible to use and I could never get it on the rear view mirror. Finally a piece came loose. In my opinion; find something else.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Not long enough to fit on the back of rearview mirrors.

I bought this because I wanted something to hold my phone that wasn't as far away as my window holder. My problem is it doesn't fit my mirror due to the thick backing of the mirror, had the same problem on another car. The only one that worked was on my son's truck.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • So So

So So car mirror holder

It says it TURNS, NOT TURNS. It says that GPS 5.5 is suitable. I think mine is only 5 and have NOT given it 3 stars because my PHONE IS SUITABLE and so when I use it as a GPS PHONE (once in a while) it is COMFORTABLE to see and hear. MOST OF THE TIME it hangs blank (I don't like that!) because I prefer to use my real GPS.

Pros
  • Wide range
Cons
  • Some nuances

LOVE IT! Best phone clip I've ever had

Love it and use it all the time. My sister has a phone clip with a vent that keeps falling off, but I don't have to worry about that. The little handle falls off when you twist it in one direction, but that's a very simple fix and you don't need to use it anyway. It's great if you're using GPS, keep an eye on it while you keep your eyes on the terrain!

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • No insurance

The idea is there, the product is not.

No matter how you adjust it, no matter how you position your phone, no matter how you press the accelerator or brake, your phone will take off with the mount. If you remember to touch the throttle, it flies off. If you drive with the windows open and you're not careful, your phone will fly out the window. Just save money and buy lock protectors. The product is much better, albeit much more expensive.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Electrical outlet required

In general, if there was a ball joint instead of a hinge, it would be ideal.

I would like to say that it works perfectly, but there is one annoying downside. We are talking about an adjustable angle of up to 240 degrees based on a forward or backward movement, not side to side. If you are careful you can adjust it on the mirror except it tends to move which ruins the whole idea. . So while I gave up after less than 30 minutes of use I gave up, I really needed the phone to be facing forward and the rear view mirror to have a decent viewing angle and the mount to be snug…

Jaws for your display only open 3.5 inches

I love the design. More detailed instructions would have helped mitigate the bad reviews. An honest jaw opening for your phone or display also helps. TVs, displays and screens are measured diagonally and it is the size stated in the description, not the short side of the display. The jaws open a maximum of 3.5 inches. I made a holder for my 4" wide display. The mirror clips slide out from the bottom and when pushed against the center of the unit they stay in the extended position for easy…
