These palette knives are of very poor quality and cannot be used for their intended purpose. Thick, tough, not pliable, two had burrs on the blades and one fell apart when pulled out of the box. If you're not willing to sharpen and glue those knives to make them usable, don't waste your money.

I am not impressed at all. I've been using them for a while and haven't had good results with them so I thought maybe that's how I use them. They scratch the canvas and I never get a smooth mix. Well, a friend brought his knives and we found that the ones I bought weren't perfectly straight. Each knife has an odd bend or bend in the metal that prevents it from working properly. I am absolutely dissatisfied and will buy a knife set from another brand.

If you prefer the Bob Ross style, this is for you. They are of good quality, the cutting edge retains its sharpness with no dents or nicks. They work great with oil, acrylic or anything else I can use them with like clay or other mediums. I used them to apply modeling paste and plaster for texture and ridges. They cut through wet paint down to the canvas when used correctly and can therefore also be used to remove unwanted work. If you're trying to remove texture, they work well for that too…
