Sensor Inaccuracies

This is a great looking sensor, but unfortunately not accurate. At idle the gauge reads about 4 and even though it should be 11 psi it reads 12-13. This was confirmed by another very accurate Lyle sensor. The instructions were followed very carefully and it was connected to a constant power source so it wouldn't be interrupted by the engine starting. When you choose a well-known brand like AEM, you expect a precise, high-quality product. Will update if seller or AEM contacts me to hopefully…

Not exactly. on Electrical

Pressure gauge shows vacuum and boost pressure. There is no connection between what is read and what is real. For example, the vacuum isn't always 1/2 out, so there's not even a reference point. In my car the boost at 0.50psi is off at 27psi, but at 28psi the boost is 3 full psi. Return to AEM. I will also add that this is the second sensor/sensor I have received. The first was broken. Oh yes, the pressure gauge is connected to electricity when cranking. Woadate - I will not buy this gauge…

Good looking but broken right at the gate.

So I expected a lot from AEM, got this sensor and set about installing it following the instructions. I plugged it in and the sensor showed SenS right on the gate. Tried the sensor in multiple places (different places for vacuum/acceleration) and nothing. I contacted AEM technical support, they helped me to solve the problem. A faulty sensor was to blame. They sent a replacement sensor. The replacement sensor arrived yesterday. Install new sensor, same thing. I'm waiting for an answer from AEM,

good company Great products. Just one problem with this product.

I've been a Mechanic for 22 years and I'm ASE Master Tech certified. I've been using AEM products in my personal builds and for clients for many years. This is the first product I had a problem with. I bought this and a wide range AFR sensor for a 2019 Subaru STi. They are both amazing looking pickups and very well built. Installation was very easy and required no calibration. The boost sensor worked fine for about 2 weeks, after which the customer came back and said that the sensor kept…
