Unlike her scrub/body scrub, this is enough.

Unlike a scrub/body scrub, this is just enough on the face to remain soothing while removing impurities and debris from the skin. It's small, but a little goes a long way.

It works, but the smell leaves a lot to be desired.

I was looking for a simple scrub and this worked. It doesn't have plastic beads, which was an advantage for me as I found them to be coarse and not very effective. I exfoliate to prevent acne and it seems to work well. However, I don't like the smell at all. It's a kind of medicine and uncomfortable. I still use it so it's bearable, but I probably won't buy it again.

Too expensive for the face

Very expensive peeling paste. I don't think it's worth the money. Slightly irritates my sensitive skin. I would buy it again

Not for sensitive/inflamed skin

I purchased this product in Australia and was recommended by an Aesop staff member. While the packaging and ingredients are great and I really respect the integrity of Aesop products, the product itself leaves a lot to be desired if you have sensitive/congested skin. Although the product initially softened my skin and seemed to unclog my pores slightly, over time it actually enlarged them. After a few months of use, I noticed that my pores only got bigger despite frequent (2x/week) peelings. Iโ€ฆ

I like other Aesop products but the smell is terrible

I added this product to my shower routine after loving some of Aesop's other products after switching from the Clinique Exfoliating Facial Scrub. It seems a bit more sand like than I would like, but the main downside is the smell. I hesitate to use it because the smell is so repulsive. It's... no exaggeration, it's like peppermint gum out of a smoker's mouth or sour dung. I was shocked. The price makes me tempted to empty the bottle but end up holding my breath as it hits my face. I don't think

Pros
  • Scrubs
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors
