Not worth the investment

This thermoelectric cooler did not live up to my expectations. As my tests showed, the cooling capacity is incredibly limited, and it struggled to maintain a consistent temperature even under light use. Although the price is reasonable, it's clear that this product is a poor investment for anyone in the market for Industrial and Scientific thermal management products.

Pros
  • Affordable
Cons
  • Poor cooling capacity

False advertising. This thing doesn't come close to 154.

False advertising. The thing doesn't come close to 154 watts. I placed it between two CPU coolers and connected it to a 12 volt 15 amp power supply via my Moosimeter. It only drew 44.73 watts (12.03 volts 3.72 amps).

Pros
  • TEC1-12710 Thermoelectric Peltier Cooler 12V 154W
Cons
  • Poor manual

This TEC Peltier does not have 154 W as advertised, but .

This TEC peltier is not rated at 154 watts as advertised, its measured amperage is only about 3 amps at 12 volts or about 36 watts. That's barely 1/5 of that declared performance. Bought 2 and both are the same. The cable is also only 22 gauge, which is obviously not enough when it was 154 watts. It's just the standard cheap Chinese peltiers you'll find here, labeled TEC1-12706, which also run at the same power of around 30 watts, not 60 watts.

Pros
  • Dimensions: 40 x 40 x 3.2 mm / 1.57 x 1.57 x 0.16 inch | Power cord: 150 mm / 5.9 in.
Cons
  • No power
