    It's fun to play with, but the cookies are crumbling

    So I take one out to show and I want it to be "really" cold (and warm) but fall instead Just crack it apart when it's pushed to its limit. I had white crumbs all over it :) But if you don't press it you get cold/warm effects and you can certainly use this in smaller projects if you want to add warmth or coolness to the case. . It's a fun toy and learning moment. That's all.

    Mixed bag. on internals

    I have ordered 2 sets of 5 from this supplier for a project my daughter is working on. We've observed temperature spread with every cooler and heatsink we've tried. I ended up running all 10 through an Arduino program I wrote to test 6 parameters. 5 devices had shorter leads tinned to the modules. Everything was perfect there. The other 5 had long pure copper wires and were all over the world in terms of performance. The bottom line is to send the copper back when you get it.

    UFU! Much more heat output than I expected

    Bought these to try and cool an outdoor camera and they work as advertised. My first impression came as I held it in my hands and waited for a slight change in temperature. Hooked it up to a 12 volt battery and had to throw it away almost immediately. It was only now that I realized that although my index finger was almost burned, my thumb was icy. I can understand why people say they will self-destruct if they don't have a way to dissipate heat, but c'mon - pumping heat from side to side is…

    Everything arrived in good condition

    Surprisingly all parts arrived in good condition. This was a surprise given the poor packaging and other purchases from this supplier that arrived broken and non-functional. Performance is what you would expect from a Chinese 12706. Performance is a bit slower than the US but more expensive TECs, but it's consistent between devices, and in testing I was able to get a mid-size cooler to 26 degrees Fahrenheit (ambient 67 degrees Fahrenheit) with the hot side of a liquid-cooled one Water blocks…
