Aidelife Shroud Angle Grinders Universal Review

I used it with a diamond grinding wheel on a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder to smooth an old cast concrete retaining wall. I hooked it up to a shop vacuum with a paper bag filter and a HEPA filter. It made a big difference in the amount of dust! The shredder was a Craftsman 900.24542 similar to the Porter-Cable PC60TAG. The angle grinder has a protruding screw that made it difficult to fully install the shroud, so I had to drill a hole in the plastic of the shroud to make room for the screw.

This Aidelife dust cover works great. It comes with numerous O-rings to fit the shroud to the grinder. I used a Bauer angle grinder HFT 4 1/2" and found an adapter that fits perfectly. The adapter plugs into the same grommet that your surge protector is attached to. The sheath has the same clamping lever as your sheath. Comes with a wrench to tighten the lever. Excessive tightness is not required. You should not deform the shell by overtightening the nut. I didn't have to fiddle with the shroud

At first I wasn't impressed when I opened the box and found that the bristles were deformed as shown in the first photo. Hence the 4 stars. However, I figured I'd try it anyway before deciding whether to return it or not. It turns out to work great, but it's tricky to install properly. Pros: Fits the Ryobi model AG454 angle grinder that I have. Also fits the standard Shop-Vac brand hose without an adapter and stays in place during use.
