Ailunce made a great microphone for the HD-1. It feels durable and the sound is clear and loud. I've had excellent reviews of my sound with this mic.

When this speaker mic arrived it was missing a clip on the back of the mic. A very obvious thing that their QA department (if they even have one) should have recognized. I'm less and less impressed with Retevis.

Lasted less than three weeks and I suspect the connector is internally defective. It has not been dropped, abused or soaked. It will work fine for a while, and then almost all the noise will disappear. Contact Retevis to find out how to proceed.

I originally bought this device to use with Retevis RT29 but found it works well with Inrico T320 as well. It appears to be well built and produces good sound in both reception and transmission. The only thing that could be improved is the lapel clip itself, the spring isn't that strong so I've found it tends to slip off unless I'm wearing it over thick clothing.

I first bought one for my Ailunce HD1 and after 3 months it stopped making any sound. I recently bought two more thinking I just had a bad one and BOTH the new speaker mics stopped working after 24 hours. There is no sound from either of them. The PTT button works, but there is no sound from the speaker microphone itself. I have the latest firmware for the radio. Nothing but cheap Chinese junk.

I was really impressed with the external sound from the Ailunce HD1, very loud and clear even at low volume. However, the shoulder mic speaker in the nomination was the opposite, the mic sounded really bad, I had to turn the radio volume to maximum and still could barely hear it, compared to another shoulder mic speaker with other brand radios, it was amazing how bad the sound quality was was Ailunce shoulder speaker. I'm having a problem with the HD1 GPS radio speaker mic. I contacted the company, they answer me without hesitation. very supportive very nice. I received my full refund with no problems. If you have a problem with a product and call customer service I recommend speaking to Angela, she was very helpful. I give the company and Angela five star customer service.

I have ordered two of these devices. One for every two HD1 radios I own. Both have crisp keystrokes and good sound quality. The clip is very sturdy and seems to last a long time. I really like how small it is in the hand for the sound quality it delivers. The real problem is that both have an LED that should be red when you're transmitting and green when you're receiving. None of them have working LEDs. I think it's either a manufacturing defect or a firmware issue. Maybe I'll discuss this…

So update this review on 7/22/18. A product I still have the same opinion about, but I will say that the customer service from Retivus is amazing. They really want to improve their product and called me to make it right and sent me another mic to replace the one that didn't work. I look forward to future iterations of this product. Since then I've loved the Radio HD1, it's a really good device that combines almost the best of all worlds. Based on customer service I'm increasing my rating from 2
