Much louder, built from different parts and no longer made in the USA?

Bought the same model in 2016 but I can see it is assembled differently (external parts are visually different) and the sticker no longer says Assembled in USA. Not sure if they are no longer made in the US or elsewhere but one thing is for sure, the one I just got is a lot louder. I put them side by side and the 2016 is about 20% quieter than the one I just bought.

Exactly what I was hoping for

I've had a 14 inch Holmes fan for twenty-five years, but as it began to fade I started looking for a reliable replacement. Despite some negative reviews, I chose the Air King. Operation was as simple as plugging it in and turning it on. It is more powerful and reliable than the old fan and moves the air in my apartment very well. It sounds like a miniature propeller, but that's because it moves air, which is why I bought it. There was some vibration on the hardwood floor at altitude, but that's

Great fan - if you never have to clean it.

We bought one of these fans, we liked their performance and immediately bought more. As fan season draws to a close, we deeply regret our decision. They are ridiculously difficult to clean. And if you're going to use them in a real store, there's likely a fire hazard if you don't do it on a regular basis. The grill *and* the base are held in place by a series of screws that appear to be painted. Removing them will separate the base * and * of the grill. Putting it back together is the work of…

What I Experienced for $100

If you want to be annoyed and bothered, buy the AIR KING. I plugged this fan into an outlet, turned on the first speed and immediately knew something was wrong. The fan vibrated so much that it ran on the floor. Easy to understand right? Fans are simple devices. They have a motor and fan blades. I called the company and they wanted me to replace the fan blade, I said everything was fine. It lasted three weeks. This didn't solve the problem. I called the company again. They forced me to take the

Ball bearing motor, excellent quality.

I have slept with the fan on every night since I was 10 years old. I have 4 20" fans from different manufacturers. obviously well done, you'll notice it right away when you first pick it up to move it. Most other inexpensive fans don't have a ball bearing motor, why is that important ?I'm glad you asked, all 4 of my other fans ended up in my shop after running 24/7 at low speed for a year, turn them off, they won't start because they can't spin I fixed them all by drilling a tiny hole in the…

The design of the blades is just terrible for making noise

This is an excellent American assembly fan with some flaws, from a fan fan. Lots of air, but loud. Disadvantages Even at low settings noisy, low settings are not low enough. The blade design is just terrible for making noise. The design of the blade reduces the power of a powerful engine. (The Airmaster has the most efficient die-cast aluminum wing design), but you'll pay for it. If you want a home fan that is half the noise at 80% of the same air movement then buy…

More trouble than it's worth.

First of all everyone should know that this is a LASKO fan. The same cheap fan manufacturer you buy at Wal-Mart. Air King is just another division or brand of the company. Second, I was VERY dissatisfied with my customer support, which I will elaborate on below. I live in a hurricane country and bought this fan to hook up to my generator in case we ever lose power. I bought it and it was only in a box for a few months. We had a hurricane on the way and I took it to check it out. It did not…

Almost perfect (12 " model)

These Air King circulators are the best fans on the market today as most fans made today are designed to fail after two years of use and made from the cheapest materials. This device is all metal, very powerful and quite silent. The details seem to be of decent quality. It uses a cast aluminum ball bearing motor (made in 2016 - they used a cheaper sleeve bearing motor for a while) but it looks like they've reverted to a ball bearing motor like all other fans in the USA, with imported parts of…
