We use them in the basement. They last longer than expected and do a great job. I just ordered another box of these dehumidifiers because they are the only ones that have worked well for us.

Works well in small spaces. My Prius' windows were left partially open during one of our heavy rains. I installed one of these humidifiers in my console and over time the humidity problem was resolved.

Good product but it should weigh 10 ounces as shown in the picture. But when I received it, it was 8 ounces. Couldn't go back, it was considered a chemical. However, there are no problems with the delivery of the goods to me.

I've been buying these for two years now as we live very close to the sea and therefore struggle with a lot of humidity. They don't replace the dehumidifier I ended up buying to use when we're not home, but they're still used in every closet and many drawers and all together they work well. It's amazing how much moisture they absorb. In addition to these, I also use the ones hanging in closets. I have to replace about 18 of these two or three times a year, usually twice.

I gave five stars because it works for me. I posted it in my basement. Its size is about 400 feet. The basement is dry, but sometimes it stinks. When I put it there, the humidity was 75 degrees. I checked it the next morning, it rose to 81 degrees. Three nights after I went downstairs and checked the temp dropped to 67. So everything works, the basement no longer smells damp and musty. I don't spend hundreds of dollars on a dehumidifier and I pay my electric bills.

It's a strange product to love. But as soon as I moved into a 1940's apartment with some unusual smells and some humidity from air conditioning, I began looking for a product that could stay in my closets and deal with both the smell and the humidity.
