Airgoo Lustrous Commander Smart RGB Lighting And Fan Speed Controller Review

It was very difficult to install the front of my case. Clearance issues and mounting hardware issues. I had to loosen my screws to get it working. What also sucks is that it doesn't use a standard connector other than an adapter. I had to disconnect one of my RGB devices in order to connect it. False images are used in this product to lead you to believe that they are scattered when they are not. clearly see every hotspot on the ring. With a few exceptions, the colors are quite good. I have a pair of Airgoo brand 12v RGB strips which have better color rendering than this one which was a lot cheaper. I appreciate their ability to connect together as it saves me a headache, but I have an O11 Dynamic XL (very large case) and the cables are WAY too long I could run them outside the case…

I bought 4 of these (one of 3 sets and a single piece), they all worked with no problems, I installed them on White Arctic dials P12- Fan and the light effect is amazing, it looks much better than backlit fan blades like most RGB fans. The lighting on the top of the blades creates a unique mirage effect when the fans are spinning, which is very noticeable. Good product.

They are really weak compared to true RGB fans. I tried using them on gray fans but the light didn't bounce as much as I would like. Even with white fans, the light output is disappointing. Their main advantage is that you can use any fan you like, but I would only recommend them for those with clear or white fan blades. I wasn't sure but I don't regret it. All 3 didn't work in one box I ordered 4 boxes of 3 each. Just make sure you test each before installing.

These little LED rings were just what I wanted. I bought Noctua fans for my new case but wanted to add some lighting instead of buying cheap LED fans. I chose these and am glad I did. The colors are bright and vibrant. They work with Asus Aura. Not all the fancy light modes, but enough to please me. Very easy to connect. They don't add much thickness to the fans. They chain to others as well as to other LED strips they sell. I will buy another set when I build a computer for my kid.
