They are really weak compared to true RGB fans. I tried using them on gray fans but the light didn't bounce as much as I would like. Even with white fans, the light output is disappointing. Their main advantage is that you can use any fan you like, but I would only recommend them for those with clear or white fan blades. It also increases the height of the fan by a few millimeters, so beware of possible fan gap issues. If you want really quiet fans, go for them. If you don't mind more noise then just go for RGB fans as I think they look better than these frames.
