Description of AirHawk 2 Comfort Seat Cushion - Medium Cruiser - Inflatable Seat Cushion with Black Cover - Made in USA

Product Characteristics

The AirHawk 2 Comfort Seating System Seat Cushion - Medium Cruiser is an innovative and versatile accessory designed for motorcycle enthusiasts seeking the ultimate comfort during their rides. This inflatable seat cushion boasts a unique multiple-cell design, which sets it apart from traditional cushions in the market. Crafted with precision and care in the USA, this product is a testament to quality craftsmanship.

The core feature of this cushion lies in its inflatable design, allowing riders to customize the level of firmness according to their preferences. The multiple air cells work in harmony to provide exceptional seating comfort and effective vibration absorption. Whether you're embarking on a long-distance journey or navigating through challenging terrains, the AirHawk 2 Comfort Seating System will ensure a smooth and pleasant ride.

The cushion's construction is another standout characteristic. Made from durable polyurethane, it guarantees longevity and resilience against wear and tear. While the AirHawk 2 Comfort Seating System stands out in its category, there are other notable options available in the motorcycle parts market. However, few can match the level of comfort and innovation offered by this product. Competitors may offer inflatable seat cushions, but the combination of a nonskid urethane base, open-mesh side panel, and customizable firmness sets the AirHawk 2 apart from the rest.

Problems Solved and Important Parameters

One of the primary issues that this AirHawk 2 Comfort Seating System addresses is the discomfort often experienced during extended rides. Long hours on a motorcycle can lead to soreness and fatigue, affecting both the rider's enjoyment and safety. This cushion's ability to distribute pressure evenly and absorb vibrations helps reduce the impact on the rider's body, promoting a healthier and more pleasant riding experience.

In terms of important parameters, adjustability and durability are key. The inflatable design allows riders to find their ideal level of support, while the robust polyurethane construction ensures the cushion will withstand various weather conditions and rugged terrains, providing long-lasting comfort.

Travel Use and Beneficiaries

The AirHawk 2 Comfort Seating System is an excellent companion for motorcyclists embarking on long journeys and frequent travelers. Its portability and easy installation make it a practical choice for riders who want to enhance their comfort without investing in a whole new seat. Whether you're cruising on highways, exploring off-road trails, or simply commuting daily, this cushion will be a game-changer.

As for beneficiaries, this product caters to a broad audience. Seasoned riders seeking improved comfort and reduced fatigue will appreciate its benefits, as will beginners who are just discovering the joy of motorcycling. Additionally, individuals with back or joint issues will find relief in the cushion's ergonomic design, making it a valuable asset for anyone looking to enhance their riding experience.

Works well as long as you're not braking, accelerating or cornering.

Very practical and protects you from hot spots during long straight rides. The design allows air to flow from one compartment to another, equalizing pressure in all areas of the buttocks. This is normal when driving for miles on straight highways. However, when braking, accelerating and cornering, the constant movement of air between the pockets makes you feel very unstable in the saddle. I take off the pad when driving anywhere except on the freeway. To be honest, I drive pretty aggressively…

LOVE LOVE LOVE: Accessories

I bought this seat before I even rode my stock seat on my boulevard s40 because I have hip problems and knew I was going to hurt myself every time I rode it. I'm sooooo happy I risked paying that much for a seat. I've never been on my bike and my butt or thighs are uncomfortable. Meanwhile, my friend's buttocks are going numb on his Sportster. He thinks this seat slides too much, but I disagree. I never feel unsafe or unstable in this chair. It was pretty easy to install and we haven't had to…

Added a few hours to my trip! The original Kawasaki VN750 seat is a great place to start. But I've walked through 4-5 weird hours. Added an AirHawk and I can scale the 6 hour range while my tailbone screams bloody murder. Considering my 2-gallon tank and 54mpg range, I have to stop and get up every 108 miles, but I can handle a couple of fill-ups before I have to call it a day. It's worth every penny and then some. Best of all are the interconnected chambers that direct air into the other…

design flaw. Best in Motorcycling & Weightlifting

although the seat is comfortable, according to others I only give it 2 stars because the seat leaked just a week into my several week trip. And a leak similar to what others have reported appeared at the base of the valve. Inside the bladder is a piece of hard plastic that holds the valve in place. But with daily use and flexing of the bladder, the hard plastic with a sharp edge may hit the bladder and eventually cause a hole. If you're mainly a local driver, 1/2 hour here and there, then flat…

Recess under the old style

This is the second one I have. The first seam came loose after 4 years. I don't like the current reincarnation as much as the first. They've changed the material it's made of, and not for the better. The previous cylinder was neoprene rubber, this one is polyethylene. The new material stretches a lot more, so I've found that the airbags tend to "bleed" into the front chambers, making them larger and stiffer while providing support for the chambers you actually sit on , is reduced. I had to stop

Pros

  • There are other interesting options.

Great product for 3 months then it started leaking

This would have been a 5 star rating were it not for an apparent design flaw. I bought mine in August, drove it 1500 miles, it started sucking air in December. I'm 6ft 2in and 180lbs which is an average height person and I store my bike in the garage and it stays protected from inclement weather so it's just regular use for me. the base of the valve stem where it seals the valve to the bladder - in the picture the leak is where the red part of the valve stem protrudes from the bladder seam.
