Large containers are ideal for storing flour and other foods. The containers are completely transparent so you can see the contents. The plastic lids snap open for airtight storage, but they're hard plastic, so be careful not to drop them on a hard surface. I only gave them four stars because I dropped a half full container and one of the lid flaps broke. I want to wait and see if the other lid flaps break after prolonged use. If they don't I will come back and upgrade to 5 stars.

I love these containers. Sealed snap caps with gaskets are great. The extra large size is ideal for bakers. I make a lot of bread and pasta. These containers hold all of the different flours and specialty ingredients that I like to have on hand. I put different small bags in 1 container and fill the other 3 with different flour. Excellent containers, easy to open and close but close tightly. Perfect for protecting those things that come in packages that DO NOT SEAL EXACTLY such as mashed potatoes, rice, flour, oatmeal etc. The large size was just what I was looking for, measuring cups work great as spoons and as a chalkboard for chalk drawing labels added a very nice touch. I've bought other products with a similar design but these containers are HUGE and very well constructed and I can tell you they outperform measuring cups in the sealing area and that's a huge plus. Sometimes you need to push the lids into the container to ensure a secure seal before inverting the valves to seal them.
