I bought this for my granddaughter's upcoming 1st birthday. Of course I had to open and test it before packing it up. It is very sturdy and small enough for their small hands. It's so cute and educational for them to learn about sizing and sorting.

Much smaller than I expected so check measurements before buying. It's hard even for an almost 2 year old and even I can't tell which carrot goes in which hole just by looking. Fun concept, just wish it was a little bigger and easy to see where each carrot goes.

Our little one fell in love with this toy straight away. The carrots are colorful and have different textures thanks to the use of wood and felt. Although it's not enough to understand the concept of the puzzle, this carrot will keep him entertained for a while. As a mother, I love him because he is quiet. I highly recommend it as it is definitely a favorite in our house.

This toy is well made, beautiful to look at and fun to use. My daughter likes to use the carrot chunks for other tasks rather than combining them with holes at this time. To be honest some of the size differences are almost impossible to tell by eye and I don't think she's in a state where she's willing to try every hole to find the right one (she's almost two years old ). I hesitated to buy a random fake but this is a quality wooden toy! My baby is 14 months old and likes to take out the carrots (but hasn't learned how to put them back in the puzzle yet). Instead, he likes to put carrots in the shape sorter and hear them fall to the ground. I imagine this toy will grow with him over the next year as he solves the puzzle and maybe even longer as a fun role model (like feeding carrots to a stuffed bunny etc.).
